Lace up your sneakers and join us on Saturday, September 6, 2025, for a morning of fun, fitness, and making a difference as we run through the vibrant streets of downtown Buffalo! This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
Every step you take in this 5K, whether you're running or walking, makes a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Race proceeds directly support the Buffalo City Mission’s essential rescue and restoration services, which include not only meals and shelter but also life changing programs such as job skills training and education.
Since 1917, the Buffalo City Mission has been at the heart of Western New York, offering vital programs through the Alfiero Family Center of Hope and Promise and Cornerstone Manor, our shelter for women and children. Your participation helps us continue our mission of transforming lives.

The race is set to begin at the Mission’s Alfiero Family Center of Hope and Promise, located at 100 E. Tupper St., Buffalo (VIEW MAP). Start time is 9am!

Online registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place at the City Mission starting at 7:30AM with the 5K promptly starting at 9AM sharp.5K Run/Walk Registration
$35.00 Adults (19 and older)
$25.00 Students (18 and under)*Includes official event t-shirt (guaranteed through August 29th at 9am), race bib, post race snacks! We will order a small quantity of extra shirts that will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone.
Virtual Registration Option: $40.00 (includes shipping of race shirt in Continental USA)
Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Race option and you get to choose the location and time to get out on your own and run or walk your 5K in the month of September.
Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 9/1/25 and ending on 9/30/25. We will automatically mail out your race shirt the week after the race! Virtual participants are not eligible for the awards. (Continental USA only for shipping).

POST RACE CELEBRATION
The post race celebration and awards ceremony will take place outside of the Buffalo City Mission. Light snacks and bottled water provided to all participants.PARKINGThere will be limited parking available in the Buffalo City Mission parking lot. Additional street parking and pay for parking lots are available in the area.AGE GROUPS & AWARDSTrophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers and custom awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female age group winners.
